Motor KV & Max Speed Calculator - FDR & RPM Efficiency

Calculate KV value from no-load max RPM and min voltage in ESC logs. Calculate estimated max speed and FDR from gear ratio, tire diameter, and run max RPM. Calculate RPM efficiency from run max RPM and no-load max RPM, and check load indicators with temperature.

Measurement Precautions

  • Use a fully charged battery
  • Remove the pinion from the motor and operate in a no-load state
  • Hold full throttle for about 5 seconds, then release and stop
  • After completion, check the ESC log
